This has become one of my favorite days to post. Not because I know so much about science, but because I know so little. I am constantly reading and watching videos, trying to learn more and more about science. Fridays have become the day that I can share some of what I have learned, read, or watched during the week!
A great article I came across this week is from ScienceBlogs. The article is called “What Everyone Should Know About Science” and, as the name would suggest, it covers some basic concepts about science.
My favorite part of the article was when it discussed that science is something everyone can do (and should!). Here’s a quote:
“Science is, fundamentally, nothing more than a systematic approach to looking at the world around us and figuring out how it works.”
Most people do this naturally, in some way or another. We see things around us and there is a natural curiosity to figure out how everything works. I know when I was a kid I asked my dad questions about everything. I probably drove him crazy with my curiosity, but curiosity is human nature!
Here’s an interesting video to check out for this week. It is about the “Power of Introverts”. As someone that toes the line between introvert and extrovert, I found this video to be very interesting. The video (below) is the first in a series on dwlFilms’ YouTube channel.
